South Asian Heritage Month– Virtual Open Mic Night

​This event will provide an opportunity for attendees to share and learn from experiences; contribute to the event through self-expression and celebrate the diversity of South Asian Heritage.

The theme of this year is “Free to be Me.”

Attendees will be able to share poetry, prose, song or experiences related to this year’s theme - which is "Free to be me". 

Attendees will contribute to the event with their own interpretation of this theme. Suggestions include(but not limited to):

• Overcoming the challenges of dual identity as a British South Asian

​• Work inspires by important historical moments such as independence.

• Achieving representation/ freedom of speech as South Asians living in the UK.

We would love for you to contribute, as well as attend- so please sign the expression of interest form and indicate if you would like a 5-minute slot to share something.
