Post Graduate Diploma Community Nursing Specialist Practice Qualification General Practice Nursing

“Specialist practice qualifications are annotations to the NMC register. They indicate that the registered nurse has successfully undertaken an NMC approved SPQ programme.”

The modules you will study are:

  • 7NH004 Research and Inquiry in Specialist Practice
  • 7NH012 Specialist Community Nursing Practice General Practice and District Nursing
  • 7NH009 Advanced Perspectives of Public Health and Social Policy in Specialist Practice
  • 7NH007 Health assessment and Examination Skills within Clinical Practice
  • 7NH005 Advancing Practice Through Leadership and Innovation
    Also included is V300 Pharmacology and V300 prescribing for practice theory

You will be required to meet 125 days in clinical practice across the course and therefore should be working at least 30 hours per week within primary care (full time).

Opportunity to do additional dissertation module to get a master’s degree qualification.

This course is fully funded by NHSE and a sum of £34,000 is given to the practice per applicant.
