The programme was developed in in order to fulfil commitments for funding through a Sector-Based Work Academy Programme (SWAP) and alongside partners including Derby College Group, Pathways and Joined Up Careeers Derbyshire.
In July 2023 we held our first pilot programme with support from practices in Derby.
The programme consists of 2 weeks training and work experience in an admin or reception role in practice. The idea is that the training forms part of your induction and prepares you for a career in general practice and all placement opportunities are hosted in practices looking to recruit to their teams.
Future groups are dependent on vacancies and recruitment needs. Any new programmes will be advertised here.
