School Work Experience Requests
What we offer
Practices are often asked to take students on work experience and it can be difficult for them to manage requests from different students and schools. We work alongside Joined Up Careers Derbyshire to support work experience for school aged students interested in a career in health and social care. Unfortunately it is difficult to source placement opportunities for students under 16 due to risk assessments and legal responsibilities.
We also support the Pathways to Medicine Programme at University of Nottingham and are working with University of Derby to develop a similar programme for Nursing.
For students under 16 we participate in Springpod, a virtual work experience programme, more information can be found here: Future Talent Future Heroes (springpod.com)
